Frank Elward was a victim of German gas attacks in France during WW One. Ruth and Frank moved to California in the early 1930's -- and ran a Chicken ranch near San Diego. They ended their ranching endeavor and moved to Long Beach during the mid-1930's.  Frank health failed, and was hospitalized in the Vet's Hospital in Los Angeles where he died at the age of 38) Note b. 28 Oct 1898, Chicago - d. 28 Jan 1937) Ruth moved to nearby Garden Grove after Frank's death and remarried (Not sure of name - Gus Bordine ?). After some time, Ruth moved to Hisperia, CA (near Victorville, CA ) She married Paul W. Hicks they were married for some time. Paul Hicks died 15 Mar 1982 - and Ruth M. (Seiler) Hicks died 19 Dec 1982 in Hisperia.
