Internment Montrose cemetery Monday December 13, 1937. Death Certificate 6034678. According to Montrose Cemetery personnel Adam died from Tuberculosis. The cemetery was burying about 17 people a day, and Adam was one of them. His grave site has no stone or specific location.
Adam's occupation was Gas maker. Possibly working for Peoples Gas and Coke Company in Chemung Illinois.
1900 census has him living with his mother and father in Chicago Illinois on 189 Larabee Street. He is 37 years old. His occupation is Painter at this time. He is still single.
The 1910 census can not be located yet, but it is possible that he is now married to Mary ?.
1920 census shows Adam now living with his daughter Isabell (age 28) and Son Walter (age 27). Adam is 57 years old. Address 2053 Melrose Street Chicago Illinois. Note that his daughter is 28 and his son is 27. After reviewing Isabelle Stolzenbach's obituary February 20, 1946, in the Chicago Tribune, it makes mention that she is the sister of Walter Redel. What this implies is that both Isabell and Walter were adopted children from Adam's wife.
1930 Adam now 65 years old living with daughter Isabell and her husband Albert Stoltenbach. His occupation is laundry worker. Address 2045 Melrose Street Chicago Illinois.
